How does Impressa^® help stop leaks?

The important thing to remember is that Impressa® helps prevent leaks – it does not absorb them. Impressa® comes in an applicator and is inserted into the vagina the same way as a tampon, but it works very differently. Once inserted, the non-absorbent, flexible bladder support automatically adjusts itself to gently press against and support the urethra — the tube where our urine flows. This provides the added “lift” the urethra may need to stop the flow of urine that might otherwise leak out when you sneeze, cough, laugh or experience other common triggers of Stress Urinary Incontinence.
